I wake up feeling refreshed. My sleep report is hovering at the edge of my vision. I slightly twist my head, and the sleep report comes into view. 8 hours and 20 minutes and 98% sleep efficiency — not bad. My AI assistant notes that better sleep tends to correlate with more exercise and less caffeine consumption, and I had little caffeine and exercised a lot yesterday. I nod my head to the prompt to share the report with my peers in the monthly sleep challenge.
I begin today’s workout, as suggested by my AI assistant. After completing it, I get a report on my performance. My range of motion and force have increased dramatically since I began this program as well as my overall strength. My AI assistant suggests a few modifications that could further increase my performance, and I make note of them.

Time for breakfast. I can always have a drinkable meal that will be as healthy as anything, or I can have a more traditional meal delivered. I choose to have a hearty egg and sausage breakfast delivered. It is prepared and delivered fresh in 30 minutes by a drone at a low cost. My AR (augmented reality) contact lenses automatically evaluate the meal’s nutrition information and store the information for me. My AI assistant keeps track of what I’m eating and makes personalized suggestions.

I’m done working for the day. Time for play. I take my eFoil out onto the ocean for a sunset ride. Once a toy for the rich, this is now a mass-market item. It turned out that just making better outdoor toys made exercise more fun and got more people fit.
19:00
Time for dinner. My AI assistant suggests a protein-rich meal with lots of vegetables to replenish my energy. Delivery is coordinated to arrive as soon as I finish my shower.
21:00
My smartwatch notifies me that it’s almost time for bed. It queues up my evening routine: a dictation app for my journal, a relaxing podcast or audiobook to help me wind down. I should be able to fall asleep easily and get enough sleep for my usual wakeup time.
How did we get here? Technology for improving health advanced. And culture changed as it became easier to be fit, which created more demand for fitness optimization tools, and so on. It started with breakthroughs in AI, allowing every person to have an excellent personal trainer equivalent at a minimal cost. A personal trainer to generate a personalized workout and diet plan and provide feedback on progress.
This made fitness a bigger part of the average person’s life, which made the average person more interested in tools for fitness optimization, which increased demand for such tools, which led to the development of better tools.
2030 is the year that superfitness was achieved. Everyone is able to stay fit, while enjoying the process. It's no longer just something reserved for celebrities or gym rats. Superfitness is our new norm.
